This is best port value to increase downloading speed. For 10 simultaneous torrents it obviously is between 100 and 150. By default, some other value is given for Port used for incoming connections, but change this value to 45682.

If you are going to download 5 torrents at the same time you can set it to 200-300.

The maximum peers per torrent are then set based on the simultaneous downloads. I have the global maximum connections at 1000-1500 which can usually be handled by any modem/router. Locate the Trackers list under the General Tab Under Trackers list, scroll down at.

If your entire upload bandwidth is used for seeding/sharing you won't be able to open connections to source peers. The following settings are also crucial!- Global maximum number of connections- Maximum number of connected peers per torrentIf either one is set too high or too low speeds may go down. Also keep in mind that your router/modem has to handle all those open connections! If you allow uTorrent to create 4000 connection but your SOHO router/modem can't handle more than 1500 in total it will overload and cause torrents to be really slow or again stall.Personally I always set limits to 80% of both upload and download bandwidth. Select the torrent file and right-click on it and select Properties. Not all torrents are created equal, so choose carefully and you will download much faster. There are various reasons that cause a torrent download to be slow or even stall.Primarily- number of peers and the (upload) bandwidth they share- number of peers downloading (they more download the less bandwidth for each)Another important point are your settings and your networking hardware. For example you should always set the upload speed above 6KB/s but a maximum of 80% of your upload bandwidth. You ideally want a higher number of seeders than leechers so there are more sources for the download. Most torrent tracker websites will give you an idea of how many seeders and leechers are on each file. The other side to checking your sources is selecting healthy torrents. You don’t need Local Peer Discovery enabled unless you’re on a college network or within a community network with other bit torrent users. This is essential in finding the fastest connections so you can complete your own download faster. Having DHT and Peer Exchange enabled in the BitTorrent section ensures you will be able to access the widest pool of peers for your file. Experiment with just setting the program as allowed and then add the port to see if it makes any difference. You will need to do this for qBittorrent and perhaps for the port too. Most firewall programs allow you to set exceptions for particular programs. You will also need to allow the program and/or port through your firewall. Essentially you need to log into your router, find port forwarding and forward the port from qBittorrent to your computer’s IP address. Port forwarding is handled differently in every router. If it isn’t you can either choose a new port or forward that port in your router.
Visit and type the port number into the box and select Check Port. Opening the port will greatly help speeds. You can set that port in uTorrent at Options> Preferences> Connection. Select Connections and look at Listening Port. You want to open the port that uTorrent is using. Downloads do still work without a working port but they are much faster with one. Having an open port can seriously improve your download speed in any bit torrent client. You want the latest tracker list so three months is a useful time limit to add to your search. Do a search on torrent trackers and limit by date. Trackers change all the time so I won’t link to a source here. Finally, click on Apply and restart uTorrent to check for the slow download issue. Click on Apply > Go to the Connection tab > Set the Random port value to 45682. Now, go to the Queueing tab > Set the value 8, 1, 200, 0, 0. Set Number of Connections to 150, 100, 4. Most magnet links will handle everything for you but you can add trackers to qBittorrent to widen the pool of potential seeders. Set your Global Upload Rate to 100 > Global Download Rate to 0. You are still playing your part in the swarm but are also optimizing qBittorrent for use.
The default is set to 500 but you should ideally change this to either 100 or 150. Having too many connections provides quite an overhead for qBittorrent to cope with so limiting them means everyone gets their file faster. It may seem counterintuitive to limit the number of people you connect to in order to speed up qBittorrent but it works.
